Hot-Hed oil tools was established in Houston, Texas in 1981 by Louis J. Wardlaw III, winner of the Petroleum Engineer International 1988 Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation, when he invented and patented its signature product - Hot-Hed® - for the oil and gas industries.
